Our AMAZING self portraits!

Miss Fok is so proud of us! We created some awesome self portraits using a mixture of art techniques. We did drawing, collaging, painting and marbling. Miss Fok said that we look exactly like our self portraits.

Notice: Next Monday (21st March 2016) is Race Relations mufti day. Children are allowed to wear their traditional cultural clothes to school instead of school uniform.

Crafty couple of weeks

We have been busy settling into routines and getting used to school!  Here are a few things we have made:

We read a book called "David goes to school" By David Shannon. We had to teach the main character - a boy called David the rules of school and how to be good.

We made letter C cats for our letter of the week

We also made Ladybirds for maths and valentines day. We had to count how many hearts we used altogether, it was so fun!

Our Christmas art and other things!

We did some amazing Christmas art!  First we had to draw our trees and snowman.  Then we sponged on white paint to create textured snow.  Next we painted our sky blue and flicked white paint on the the sky to create falling snow.  Then we used pastel to do patterns on our tree and to colour our snowman in.  Finally Miss Fok traced over the lines in black indian ink. 

We also made some clay diya pots to celebrate Diwali.

Here are some photos from our market day! We made some 'Super Duper Popcorn' to sell and it sold out.
