Our number posters

Kia Ora,
We worked in teams to create number posters on the ipads. We had to pick objects from around the classroom and count them to match our number. We also learned to take photos correctly on the ipads.

Friday Maths Fun

Hello

This term we are focusing on measurement and probability for Friday Maths. Last term we focused on shapes. Here are some photos of activities that we have been doing.

This term - We had to cut out teddybears and measure them using linking cubes. We learned that we have to start measuring from the very bottom (so it is fair) and keep going until we reached the very top. Here are some photos of us measuring and counting. We then had to order the bears from tallest to shortest.

Last term - We had to make 2D shapes out of marshmallows and toothpicks. We decided how many corners (marshmallows) and sides (toothpicks) we needed for each shape. Some of us decided to take up Miss Fok's challenge and even make a 3D cube shape.
